visual compilation made of music inspired prints
The Hit-box contains ten prints – each of them in a different size but in the end folded to the size of a Single. The variety of techniques ranges from handset type, woodcut, etching on lino to further experimental relief prints. Depending on their individual workshop set up the participants work with whether their favourite printing technique or take a challenge in this project for experimental new ways to ink the paper. The main topic is to use songs – music and lyrics – as an inspiration.
My aim in this project is to connect printmakers and book artists through exchange of artwork. I’ve first invited colleagues to join for »Hits! No.1« in 2017 and since then it’s a yearly growing community.
